Practice day: Spectators welcome
Nearly all the players, managers and officials have arrived. The teams have been acclimatizing and practicing at different venues in the Palm Beach area all week. The tournament officials and grounds crew have been making final preparations to the tournament venue.
The 2003 Croquet World Series for the MacRobertson Shield will kick off with a day of practice, player meetings, and the Opening Ceremony, on Friday, October 31 at the National Croquet Center at 700 Florida Mango Road in West Palm Beach. Spectators are welcome. Admission is free, including veranda seating FOR THIS DAY ONLY.
Starting at about 9:00 and continuing though early afternoon, this is an excellent opportunity to watch many of the world’s best croquet players going through their paces.
Official player information meetings will follow the practice session, and the day will end with the Opening Dinner and ceremonies at the NCC’s “Supper Club”.
